OMNIS/2 is a library system, which can extend existing (multimedia) library systems by adding a meta layer. This meta layer offers the functionality to link and save annotations and create user views on the existing data of the underlying systems. Furthermore, OMNIS/2 can be used as an independent multimedia database. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to port OMNIS/2 from Transbase to DB2 and extend the functionality to be able to read and save pdf documents.
