The Tyrolean avalanche warning service uses - amongst other data - snow profiles to estimate the current avalanche danger level and its future development. A snow profile basically is an analysis of the different layers of the snowpack and features the different layers and their characteristics.
These snow profiles are available in a standardized format in order to enable an exchange across borders. This bachelor thesis aims at creating an information system for the management and storage of such profiles which should also be used internationally.
